Lo que queda alude a todo aquello que sucede entre las cuatro paredes de su estudio, lo que metafóricamente hablando sería su propia mente. El artista utiliza la pintura como salida hacia ningún lugar, o más bien hacia un laberinto. Este laberinto está repleto de preguntas y silencios, de infinitos comienzos y de fragmentos inacabados que nos transportan a diferentes lugares.
En esta exposición Miquel Ponce nos muestra una serie de pinturas abstractas, repletas de mensajes ocultos mediante textos ilegibles. Las referencias pictóricas que utiliza provienen principalmente del espacio urbano y de la escritura. Estas referencias le sirven para investigar y profundizar en ciertos temas como lo oculto, la erosión, el azar o el residuo, permitiéndole acceder a la pintura desde una perspectiva diferente. Trabaja a partir de materiales como la pintura acrílica, el aerosol, y otros procesos que le permiten manipular la pintura de manera intuitiva. Los distintos procesos utilizados en la ejecución de las obras convierten a la pintura en una imagen residual que habla tanto de nuestro tiempo como de sí misma.

Lo que queda refers to everything that happens within the four walls of his studio, which metaphorically speaking, would be his own mind. The artist uses painting as an outlet to nowhere, or rather to a labyrinth. This labyrinth is filled with questions and silences, infinite beginnings, and unfinished fragments that transport us to different places.

In this exhibition, Miquel Ponce presents a series of abstract paintings, brimming with hidden messages through illegible texts. The pictorial references he uses primarily come from urban space and writing. These references serve him to investigate and delve into certain themes such as the hidden, erosion, chance, or residue, allowing him to approach painting from a different perspective. He works with materials such as acrylic paint, spray paint, and other processes that enable him to manipulate the paint intuitively. The various processes used in the execution of the works turn painting into a residual image that speaks both of our time and itself.
